theme
There weren’t too many themes in this book. This is the second book of this trilogy. The next book has more themes because it is just wrapping up the rest of the story. The first book is called ttyl the third book is called l8r g8r. I would have to say that the theme in ttfn is never give up. When Angela moved to San Diego she kept fighting to get back to Atlanta. So she eventually ran away from San Diego and went back to Atlanta, Georgia. Another theme could be that even if you think something is the end of the world, it really isn’t. When Angela was forced to move, she thought that she would never live. She made it through everything anyways. A major importance in this book is never lose your friends. Angela, Maddie and Zoe are really great friends. They could never have made it through lots of things without friends keeping their backs for them. It is the same way in everyone's life also. Most people take their friends advantage of. Friends help you get through the toughest parts of your life. These themes are important to the book. They are important because if books did not have themes, then there would not really be a point to a book. unless the author was writing for enjoyment.

conflicts
There are a lot of conflicts in this story. Angela is forced to move to California by her parents, no questions. Once she gets there she is very miserable and has no friends. Angela’s dad’s boss’s daughter, Glendy, follows her around school. Glendy tries to be nice to Angela, but Glendy is very annoying. Angela tries to ditch her, but she just keeps on coming back every time.
Doug and Zoey are now dating. At first Zoey didn’t tell Angela that they were going out. When Angela found out, she didn’t hear it from Zoey. She was very mad at Zoey and started not to talk to her. They made up after a few days and they were back to normal. Before, Zoey was uncomfortable with doing stuff with Doug, even though Doug wasn’t pressuring her. She was very nervous and scared anyways. After Maddie dared her to do all of those crazy things, Zoey is feeling better about getting out of her comfort zone or her “bubble”.
Next, we have Maddie’s problem with Clive. Clive is a stoner boy that basically make out with multiple girls. He doesn’t have like a set girlfriend. He also has smoked pot most of his whole life. So when they are hanging out Whittney also comes along too. Supposedly Clive and Whittney are going out, but he does not treat her like it.
Zoey’s parents are out of her house for the night. She decides to cook dinner for Doug when he comes over. Zoey buys a thong and a matching bra for the occasion. They do not know how far things are going to lead. They are in Zoey’s bed, when her parents get home early! She is grounded for a while. She isn’t allowed to see Doug alone for a while.
At the end of the book, Angela runs away from San Diego. She doesn’t let anyone know that she is even thinking about running away. She just hops on a bus and heads for Atlanta, Georgia. Angela’s Aunt Sadie is single and has a house near or in Atlanta. When Angela arrives in Atlanta she goes and lives with her Aunt Sadie. Her parents aren’t sure whether or not they want Angela to live in Atlanta when they are in San Diego, but they think about it. They are going to let her stay until Spring Break and see how things go. Aunt Sadie is just basically going to be the parent. If anything goes wrong, Angela has to move back to San Diego.

setting
There were two settings in this book. Maddie, Zoey and Angela lived in Atlanta, Georgia their whole lives. Atlanta is your typical city. I would say it’s more like the twin cities. It’s a bigger city, but with smaller parts around it. The second setting is in San Diego, California. This was where Angela was forced to move halfway throughout the book. San Diego is a very large city. Angela lives a few minutes out of San Diego in a smaller town. Angela’s favorite thing to do is to go into “the city”. That’s just what they call San Diego.
This book takes place in present time. The girls are just your average teenage girls. They have all of the electronics that all of the other girls our age do. If it was ten years old, they wouldn’t have new cell phones that they can go on a chat room on. So that helps us a little.
The setting is very important in this book. If Zoey, Angela and Maddie didn’t live in a city they wouldn’t be on the internet all the time or drive to go get something to eat. If they lived in the country, they probably would not all have their own cars. They would not have their style in clothes that do. They would have to wear warmer clothes or something that they could sometimes get dirty. They probably wouldn’t be on the internet all the time either. They would still hang out the same amount of time, just probably would not do the same things that they do now. They couldn’t just drive to the mall and go shopping. They would hang out at somebody’s house or something like that.
Zoey, Maddie and Angela wouldn’t have the same attitude about things either. They think that people who live in the country are just hillbillies with no lives or anything. They also think that people who live in the country are completely cut off from electronics or anything.

character part 2
All three of the girls in the book are dynamic. I think Zoey has changed the most. She let Maddie dare her to do things she would’ve never done before. The first dare was to go up to someone besides Maddie or Angela and say, “shut the hell up!” and mean it. Second, she had to super glue inappropriate bumper stickers to her old English teacher’s car during church. Last, she had to glue marshmallows to her nipples. Second, she had to super glue inappropriate bumper stickers to her old English teacher’s car during church. Last, she had to glue marshmallows to her nipples and run around the mall twice. Zoey has let herself be more comfortable doing stuff with Doug. They’re now dating and very serious about it too. Before Zoey wouldn’t do anything that could get her in trouble. But she actually got caught with Doug at her house.
Second, we have Maddie. She had to have one dare herself. That dare was to tell Clive how she really feels about him This was very hard for her to do because she can't really open up about that kind of stuff. But, one night she was hanging out with Clive and they were out of pot. So Maddie and this other boy went down this alley, but she made her friend get it. She didn’t know that the guys selling pot were undercover cops so they got caught and went to the police station. Maddie got in trouble for not having her license and her friend for buying the pot. So the rest of her friends and Clive showed up at the police station and Maddie just told him. But he’s going out with Whittney. Maddie tried a lot of pot in this book, but she never liked it. She was just showing off for Clive. She actually decided to quit.
Last, we have Angela. She was forced to move with her family to California with her mom and sister because her dad lost his job. She was very depressed from this. She thought about cutting herself, but she would never do that. She is still a baby about some things. She has to have a special pillow so she doesn’t hear her own pulse when she sleeps. She bought this bracelet that says believe. She started believing in little things like that after she moved.

Character part 1
There are three main characters in my book. First, we have Zoey. She is shy, smart and not to outgoing. She goes to church and gets A’s in school. She is sixteen years old, average height and has brown hair. She isn’t the kind of kid to do anything that could get her in trouble. She disapproves of drinking and smoking. She hasn’t had too many boyfriends in her life either. In the last book she and her 24 year old English teacher hung out way too much. Her teacher started flirting with her and right away she did not get it. But after a while she figured it out and didn’t like it. Zoey likes a boy named Doug Schmidt. Doug used to always have a huge crush on Angela, but they never dated. They work together at a store and become really great friends.
Next, we have Maddie. Maddie is the tough-girl trouble maker. She is 17 years old, long brown hair and is taller than Zoey and Angela. She has her own kind of style when it comes to clothes. She likes a boy named Clive, but everyone calls him Chive. They met at a wedding, but they aren’t related. Clive smokes pot, and made Maddie try it. So of course, Maddie tries it. She says she doesn’t really like it too much, but keeps smoking it anyways. Maddie isn’t the kind of girl that would go to church. She sometimes makes fun of Zoey for going to it. Maddie likes to party a lot. She drinks beer quite a bit too. In the last book she became friends with Jana. All three of them have hated Jana forever because she is a snob. On Halloween Jana and Maddie went to a frat party and Maddie made a fool of herself. She was very humiliated and stopped talking to Zoey and Angela for two weeks. At the end of the book she started talking to Zoey and Angela again.
Last, we have Angela. She is the girl that gets all the guys and isn’t that tough. She is 16 years old and is average height and has blonde hair. She had many boyfriends in her life and she always thinks they are going to be the one. But they always end up breaking up in the end. She will do a few things that could get her in trouble. She only drinks at parties, but not enough to get her drunk. She is totally against smoking pot or anything like it. Doug like I mentioned earlier always had a crush on Angela. Angela never truly liked Doug, but she always was nice to him. She pretty much used Doug because she kept him as a fall back boy if she couldn’t get anyone else.

Book Report Part 2
In the second half of the book, all of the loose ends were tied up. We learned about Leo’s dad’s sister, Rosaria. None of the family talked about her anymore because it is too sad. She ran away from home when she was little and never spoke to anyone again. Grandma and Leo’s dad were starting to open up and talk about her more.
Leo also learned a few lessons. He learned that it’s always best to tell the truth. He was tapping in his dad’s tap shoes and reading his autobiography without him knowing. At the end of the book Leo ends up getting them from his dad.
I would give this book an 8 on a scale of 1-10. This book was better at the end. This book had very short chapters, which I liked. This book was very easy to understand. It wasn’t a book that had lots of flashbacks. I would recommend this book to others. It wasn’t a book that just bored you to death. It really kept me reading with the short chapters. People who wouldn’t like this book would look for a mystery, adventure or history.
Leo had to make a few choices. One was that he had to figure out whether or not to tell his dad that he stole his tap shoes and autobiography. I don’t agree with this. I would ask my dad before I took their stuff. I might have made the same choice though. Even though it wasn’t right, Leo wanted to figure out more about his dad and his past.

Book report part 1
I am reading Replay by Sharon Creech. The main character in my book’s name is Leonardo, but his friends and family call him Leo. He gets some nicknames such as fog boy, sardine and dreamer. Leo isn’t really like me at all. He is into drama and acting, but I am into music and sports. Leo is a very shy teenager. I am very loud and talkative most of the time. Leo likes to be alone almost always. I hate being alone unless I am in a very bad mood. I would recommend this book to others. It has very short chapters, which I like. It is a very easy read book. If you are looking for a book about mystery, adventure or science fiction this would not be the book for you. It has some about sports, but not too much. If I had to rate this book for 1-10 it would be a 7.5. It is a very good book so far, but there are some parts that are not tied yet. That’s because I’m only halfway done with the book right now. There is no lesson learned so far. If there had to be a lesson it would be something like this: Be yourself no matter what other people think about you. Or do not change yourself for someone else. My favorite character in the book is Leo’s little brother. His name is Nunzio. He has a little bit of a lisp so he says words like thtop, thoothe and promithe. I imagine him being a little cute kid.

MEMOIR
One time when I was up north I went to my grandma’s house. We went around Bemidji shopping and all of a sudden we went to the travel agency. I asked her what we were doing there and she said
“We’re going to Florida!” I was totally shocked by that. My aunt Paige rents a house for a month to go on vacation. So over the next few months I kept packing and repacking my suitcase to make sure I had everything right. Then all of a sudden it was already October 23rd. So I woke up at 4am and got ready to leave to the airport. We had to take two different planes there. I was a little nervous because I had to make my second plane fifteen minutes after I got off the last one. And just my luck the second plane was all the way on the other side of the airport. So we just made it on the plane. I was relieved.
When we arrived in the Panama City airport it was about 2pm. The airport was very small and only had about three planes total. The inside of it was all bright green and pink colored. When we stepped outside you could just smell and taste the saltiness in the air. You could hear the crash of the waves on the beach.
The house that we were staying at was in a really fancy neighborhood. It had a big metal gate. It had a number password to get inside. The house that we were staying at was a lighter purple or pink. It had three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room and a really big kitchen. Outside there was a pool and deck area. At the bottom of the steps there was a hot tub that flowed into a pool. We were only about a block away from the beach.
Panama City is very different from St. Cloud. In the city there are huge roads overlapping each other. There are Shopping malls the size of Valley Fair! They had all of the major stores like Old Navy, Hollister and Nike. On the outside of town by the beach it’s like a whole different world. There are huge beaches, hotels on every block and big fancy houses. There are stores that you could never find in Minnesota. Some of the stores that were right on the beach were little huts that had everything either home-made or found on the beach.
My favorite thing to do was go to the beach. There were so many things to do there! I went boogy boarding on the somewhat windy days when the waves were big. Looking for the best shell was like digging for buried treasure. The best time to find the shells was in the morning before all of the tourists were there. Another good thing to do was just sit on the soft sand and listen to music.

All about me!
I really love sports, music and animals. My favorite sport is basketball. My favorite bands are bullet for my valentine, owl city and linkin park. My favorite animals are guinea pigs!! I volunteer weekly at the Tri county Humain Society. I love to travel! I have been to Florida, Wyoming, Texas, South Dakota, Mexico, and the Bahamas. =D
